The 2024 Chelsea Flower Show will mark Huron Tours and Travel's 33rd Chelsea in Style tour! Our past travelers have absolutely loved this trip and we work hard every year to make sure this experience is incredible. Sunday, May 19  ~ Travel day, meals on-board flight

Though not officially a day included in the tour, we've included it here to help you make your plans. The vast majority of US flights to London depart the day prior to the day they arrive (depart on the 19th, arrive on the 20th.) You'll depart from your nearest international gateway to Heathrow Airport (LHR), in London, England via your preferred air carrier. You should arrive on Monday, May 20 so you will be in London for our first group event (dinner in the evening). Please get in touch with us if you'd like assistance exploring your flight options

Monday, May 20  ~ London arrival, welcome dinner at hotel

Arrive London and your private "meet and greet" representative will direct you to your included private airport to hotel transfer to make your way to your four-star hotel in the prestigious South Kensington neighborhood of London - your home for the next seven nights. Your Huron Tours on-site representative will greet you in the hotel lobby and help you get settled. It can be difficult to find a good hotel in London - we have carefully selected the perfect property in the perfect neighborhood. We know you'll be comfortable in your room, pleased with the hotel staff, and thrilled with your great location. Time and time again our tour participants have told us how much they love staying in South Kensington. Your close proximity to wonderful museums, restaurants and shopping, as well as the charming neighborhood, all come together in a perfect combination for your week in London.

Your Huron Tours representative is on site to help make your London arrival easy, answer questions, and help you get started with your London explorations.

This evening, join your fellow travelers for a private drinks reception and welcome dinner in the hotel.

Tuesday, May 21  ~ RHS Wisley garden visit, breakfast and English Tea (big enough for lunch)

After enjoying the large breakfast buffet in the hotel dining room, we depart for two wonderful visits. Just one hour south of London is RHS Wisley , the Royal Horticultural Society's most famous garden (and largest gift shop!) Wisley is always top-rated by all our travelers and you will see why.

Then, in a private event exclusively for Huron Tours & Travel members, we'll enjoy English cream tea with scones, clotted cream, strawberry jam, and wonderful finger sandwiches, all in a stunning location. While enjoying our tea we will review the Chelsea Flower Show program guide and maps, discuss the best way to enjoy the show and answer any questions you may have regarding this world's greatest floral event.

Wednesday, May 22  ~ Chelsea Flower Show, breakfast at hotel

The Chelsea Flower Show opens at 8:00 a.m. and you will be there when the gates open! You'll be personally escorted to the Show's front gates to enjoy Member's Only Day. Based on our lecture from the previous day you'll be well informed on what to see first, where to go next, and how best to spend your day to make the most of this incredible show.

Thursday, May 23  ~ Free Day or Optional Chartwell Tour, then Private Thames Dinner Cruise

A full and exciting free day exploring London or enjoy an optional full-day outing to one of England's most beloved estates (and charming gardens); Chartwell , the home of Sir Winston Churchill.

This Evening is a Huron Tour Exclusive: a Private Thames Dinner Cruise .

With over four decades of decadence on the Thames, the Silver Barracuda has welcomed Prime Ministers, film stars, authors and Royalty aboard this private art deco Vintage river cruiser. Now the ship will welcome Huron Tours! 

The Ship’s staff will welcome you to the upper deck lounge for a stunning canapé reception , then move through to the lower deck dining saloon for an intimate dinner . 

We’ll cruise from central London to historic Greenwich and you can follow our route on your personalized river map. The views from the river of many famous London landmarks are spectacular when seen from this perspective. 

An evening to remember that will no doubt be one of the highlights of your travels. 

Friday, May 24  ~ Kew Garden Visit, Free Afternoon

Following breakfast at the hotel this morning, we'll make our way via private deluxe motor-coach for a visit to the world-renowned Kew Botanic Gardens . Often referred to as the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew contains three hundred acres of over 40,000 varieties of plants, as well as seven glasshouses, two art galleries, Japanese and rock gardens and much more.

It would be remiss not to mention Kew's wonderful gift shop where one can spend an entire afternoon. When you are ready for break or a bite to eat, Kew has some wonderful eateries for lunch or a quick snack.

After a nice morning and early afternoon at Kew, we'll make our way back to London. After stopping at the hotel, we'll make an additional stop at world-famous Harrods Department Store for those of you who would like to continue your adventures.

This evening dinner is on your own - we include a personally researched restaurant recommendation list in your final tour documents to give you an idea of where you can get a wonderful meal just a few steps from our hotel.

Saturday, May 25  ~ Free day. Breakfast. Beautiful farewell dinner

A completely free day to enjoy London and its many museums, shops, parks, and historic attractions. Spend some time exploring the city on your own, visit the world-renowned British Museum, with archaeological collections from all over the world. London's best known street market, Portobello Road, is a short taxi ride away and the famous Victoria & Albert Museum is only a 10-minute walk. Enjoy Covent Gardens opera singers and street performers and if you would like to see another show, you have plenty of time to catch a matinee performance (we'll help you find the best tickets available).

For our last night together we'll enjoy our Farewell Dinner at an elegant private establishment that is guaranteed to dazzle you!

Sunday, May 26  ~ Transfer to flights, or onward to Rye for a few more days! Breakfast at hotel, meals on flights.

Sadly we must bid farewell to England and its wonderful treasures (but memories last forever!) and transfer to the airport for your return flight, arriving home the same day.
